B.B.S. replacement, Home Depot, Universal Electric

     B.B.S. used to manufacture a Ventrola bath fan. Bay Motor Products, Inc. does not manufacture bath vents or any Ventrola units but does have replacement motors for the 305A & C, 307A & C.  If these numbers do not match with your existing model number, we may not be able to help.  Please see Universal Electric details at the bottom of the page.

     Prior to ordering, confirm motor part number, which is listed on the label with the electrical information. The label is located on the winding/bobbin.

The 305A & C use the motor #5A140-1 (also replaces the 5A141-1).

The 307A & C use the motor #5A141-1.

Each motor is $25.00 (Including/prepaid shipping), No C.O.D. shipments.

     If paddle fans are needed, cost is $1.50 ea. It is recommended to purchase replacement paddle fans (impellers).  Over time the polypropylene material becomes brittle and will commonly crack or break when being removed from the motor.

When ordering, please include a letter with the following.
         1. Have the motor number and quantity listed.
         2. Show your return address.
         3. Check or Money Order.

Home Depot Supply: 
     This is not the retail division but their distribution supply centers. They have Warehouses and distribution centers that stock items and ship the same or next day.  They may have a distributor near you that will allow you to receive the product in 1 to 2 business days. • For the 305A & C, 307A & C, order their #250575 fan kit, which is a package of 2 motors and 2 paddle fans
   

• If you need the 5A140-1 order their 255228.
   

• For the 5A141-1 motor only, they will process a special order.
   

•  Paddle fan with a 7/32 "D" bore, 4 ½" diameter, is their #254300.
   

• The motor bracket only is their #255226.
   

• If you need the Aluminum Grill replacement, their part number is #249233. Confirm by viewing online, http://www.hdsupplysolutions.com/ that it fits your needed dimensions.

     If your motor was manufactured by Universal Electric in Owosso, MI., you can try to obtain a replacement by calling A.O. Smith at 1-800-672-6495.  Ask for a local distributor that would carry your requested motor.
